Acclaimed artist TEKNO or Augustine Miles Kelechi Okechukwu has made significant strides in the African music scene. His music boasts endorsements from Drake, Elton John, Beyoncé, Ciara, and Billie Eilish. His tracks, including “Duro,” “Pana,” and “Skeletun,” have amassed over 2.5 billion streams, contributing to the global recognition of afrobeats. Born into a military family in Nigeria, Tekno's affinity for music was nurtured from an early age.

His talent was discovered in 2012 in Nigeria's capital, Abuja, and he soon moved to Lagos to advance his career. His breakout track, 2013’s “Holiday,” featured Davido and catapulted both artists into the limelight. With the rise of afrobeats worldwide, Tekno’s 2015 hit “Duro” gained international acclaim. His subsequent releases, "Diana" and "Pana," further cemented his influence in the genre. Tekno also showcased his songwriting and producing skills, contributing to Davido's 2017 Billboard hit “If,” and earning a nomination at the 2017 BET Awards.

2019 saw afrobeats’ global popularity surge, with “Skeletun” climbing the charts and Tekno collaborating with international artists like Ciara, Swae Lee, Drake, and Beyoncé. His work also earned praise from Billie Eilish, who deemed him her "favorite artist ever." Despite underpromotion, Tekno’s debut album, Old Romance, released in 2020, included the popular single “Enjoy,” featured in Ted Lasso.

In 2022, his collaboration with Kizz Daniel, “Buga (Lo Lo Lo),” topped the charts and became the most streamed Nigerian single of the year. His second album, The More The Better, was released in 2023. The following year, Tekno joined Mr Eazi’s company, emPawa Africa, marking a new era in West African music.
